UniSAFE At Home

Following considerable success within the County, UniSAFE is now able to offer it’s UniSAFE at Home Programme to other Local Authorities, Families, Independent and Voluntary Services and Fostering and Adoption Teams.

This customer focussed service has successfully worked closely with the Additional Needs Team, Special Schools and other Local Families in Suffolk and Norfolk, this support has enabled carers to improve the quality of life for those who exhibit difficult and dangerous behaviours, and for those who care or work with them.

Our aim is to enable families to:

  • Develop a positive approach to behaviour management
  • Keep themselves and others safe
  • Adopt a consistent approach to difficult and dangerous behaviour
  • Enhance the self esteem of all concerned
  • Develop safer evidence based practice

We are able to offer:

  • Training that is tailored to the needs of individual children, young people, adults, their families and carers
  • An approach that enables all involved to establish consistency
  • Develop safer evidence based practice
  • Link to parent and carers support groups
  • Identify options to de-escalating incidents and develop a positive approach to behaviour management
  • Quality assured, an accredited programme that is ethically based, legally defensible, promotes diversity and is professionally delivered
  • A cost effective programme, saving expenditure of precious resources and preventing the distress and possible disastrous consequences associated with difficult and dangerous behaviour

UniSAFE at Home is delivered by a team of professionals who are experienced, considered experts in their own field and maintain a high level of practice.
