UniSAFE - Promoting Personal Safety In Suffolk

UniSAFE

UniSAFE

  • Provides the knowledge and skills to enable staff to manage difficult situations

UniSAFE

  • Originally developed in Suffolk Social Care with the close co-operation of Unison,
  • Now offers nationwide training delivery of de-escalation skills.

A de-briefing and counselling service, the project also offers training courses to teach staff the necessary skills needed to enable them to manage workplace conflict, from a reassuring approach to managing the complexities of a violent crisis.

In 2005 within the working partnership between UniSAFE and Suffolk Social Care Services, there was a 37% decrease in incidents of violence.
